Trapezoidal nut is a nut with trapezoidal inner thread. Trapezoidal thread is a commonly used transmission thread and requires relatively high precision. There are two types of trapezoidal threads. The common standard stipulates that the trapezoidal thread profile angle is 30°. But the inch standard asks the trapezoidal thread profile angle is 29°.

When machining trapezoidal threads on a CNC lathe, the cutting tool is often folded due to excessive cutting force, and the programming of trapezoidal threads by the layered cutting method is more cumbersome. In order to solve these problems, Sibai adopts the G76 command of the inclined method to cut trapezoidal threads.

The G76 command is mainly used for the processing of metric and inch threads of cylindrical internal and external threads and tapered threads, as well as the processing of common threads with large pitch. The cutting method is inclined cutting and layered cutting. If we use the characteristics of inclined cutting and layered cutting of G76 command to process trapezoidal threads, it can not only reduce the cutting edges involved in cutting, but also change the radial cutting edge each time. Therefore, the problem of folding the cutting tools in the condition of excessive cutting force can be solved.
